Diary of a Born Dancer!

My dance company, The Rhythmic Life has done a whole lot in a very short time. We did our debut at NCCU's Modern dance group's Spring concert. The audience was great, very appreciative. The preparation for that show was like a whirlwind. The most intense was preparing costumes. We all voted to make ours. I wanted to do skirts, and 10 yard skirts were way out of our price range, so making them was our best option. There were quite a few late nights making them, but it was a very satisfying experience for us. One of the girls was so excited she finished her skirt, she called her mom to tell her!

Our next performance was the next Saturday at the Blue Moon hafla. They always put on a good show! We felt alot better about the piece we presented that time, because we had performed it before and it wasn't so new. The audience was great! It is amazing what one performance can do for you. Now, our month of May is quite busy and we have alot more work to do. But I wouldn't have it any other way! We are also gearing up for our planned summer luau For June 19th. More details to come.
